Medium early variety bred in 1955, Germany became one of the most popular German red varieties. There are presently planted to 0.6% of the vineyards, mostly in Velkopavlovicka and Mikulov wine region.

Characteristics of the wine:

Wine is much deep red, with a strong fruity aroma, full-bodied taste extractive up with ringing sensation after acids, according to a very strong year. The smell and taste can be found as berries, cranberries, nuts, and sometimes green peppers for wines from less ripe grapes. Most of these wines are for drinking as a youth.

grilled meat, seasoned steaks, venison, cheeses
